Litium strengthens security with new EU-based cloud infrastructure

Litium, a leading platform in digital commerce, is taking the next step in its long-term security efforts. Starting in August 2025, Litium Commerce Cloud will run in a new private cloud infrastructure within the EU, offering higher availability, regulatory compliance, and geographic redundancy across three data centers. The upgrade is carried out in partnership with Cleura and provides customers with an even more secure and future-proof platform. The background is increased regulatory demands, a changing geopolitical landscape, and a growing need for secure and business-critical data management.

"Security has always been part of our DNA. With this upgrade, we’re taking a clear step forward to further strengthen our platform. By partnering with a European and independent provider, our customers gain not only full control and transparency, but also protection built to meet both today’s requirements and tomorrow’s challenges," says Martin Billenius, CEO of Litium.

The new infrastructure offers not only enhanced protection against cyber threats and improved availability, but also stronger compliance with regulations. For Litium’s customers, this provides a reinforced technical foundation for continued growth—without compromising on security or performance.

"We see this as a natural evolution of our strategy to stay at the forefront of security and business-critical availability. Our customers should be able to focus on growth—we ensure they have a stable and secure foundation to build on," Billenius continues.
