Areco, a Nordic industrial group operating within steel, metal and sheet metal products, has chosen Litium Commerce Cloud to take the next step in its digital journey. With five business areas – Areco Metals, Industry, Profiles, Direct and Properties – the company is now bringing together its e-commerce and web presence on a scalable platform to serve both B2B and B2C customers in a smarter way.
The group operates in five countries and employs around 400 people, with an annual turnover of approximately SEK 4 billion (around €350 million). With Litium’s built-in PIM, e-commerce functionality and flexibility, Areco gains a powerful solution to manage its extensive product portfolio of more than 30,000 items, where product enrichment has previously been handled manually.
The initiative covers everything from metals and building components to property rentals – each with different needs and target groups:
- Areco Metals focuses on wholesalers and manufacturers across Europe and aims to strengthen its digital presence with existing B2B customers.
- Areco Industry seeks to improve the online overview of the company’s complete product and service portfolio to create better end-to-end solutions.
- Areco Profiles operates in the Nordic region’s construction sector, with the goal of automating product enrichment and improving conversion on its multilingual websites.
- Areco Direct is active in the Swedish construction market with high order volumes and is investing in e-commerce and an enhanced customer journey.
- Areco Properties aims to increase visibility for its properties through SEO and a stronger digital presence.

The project is carried out together with Litium’s partner Motillo, which plays an active role in the implementation. The rollout will take place step by step, with a focus on adapting the solution to the specific needs of each business area.
